The process

Four gears, Japan to Stoke

Nothing here is left to you. We quote a landed price up front, so the figure you agree is the figure you pay.

You tell us the car, spec and budget. We search the Japanese auction houses and send you grading sheets and photos for anything worth a look.

2nd

Purchase

Once you're happy, we bid on your behalf and secure the car. You get a full landed cost before anything is committed.

The car is transported to port, shipped to the UK, and cleared through customs. We handle the duty, VAT and paperwork.

4th

Register

Any required testing, DVLA registration, number plates — then collection from us or delivery to your door.

Common questions

How long does an import actually take?

Around four months on average from the day we secure the car. Shipping is the longest single stage. We'll keep you updated at each step rather than leaving you guessing.

What is included in the price you quote?

We quote a landed, road-legal price: the vehicle, auction fees, inland transport in Japan, shipping, marine insurance, UK duty and VAT, customs clearance, any required testing, and DVLA registration. No surprises at the end.

Can I see the car before you buy it?

Not in person, but you'll get the auction house grading sheet, a full photo set and our own read on the car's condition. Japanese auction grading is detailed and reliable — it's why this market works.

Can I finance an imported car?

Usually yes, though finance is typically arranged once the car has landed and is registered. Talk to us early and we'll explain the options for your situation.

What if I want something specific?

That's the point of importing. Tell us the model, year, mileage ceiling, colour and spec, and we'll watch the auctions until the right one comes up.
